John Gardiner Kata Seminar
Another top quality sensei visited Dokan's Redhouse dojo last week. What a spell of fabulous instructors we have had over the last four weeks with Willie Thomas England kumite coach , Ady Gray England kata coach and John Gardiner the leading adult male kata practitioner in England.
A gruelling four hour session for our young squad starting with kata kihon, then the middle session focused on the kata Unsu and we finished with the Shito Ryu style kata Chatan Yara Kusanku.
It was a brilliant session and all the kids enjoyed it and will of benefitted massively from simply training with one of the UK's best kata instructors. John certainly made a few young fans after today.
As usual we piled back to Sensei Kev's house for a bite to eat from the barbecue before John had to make the tediously long journey back to Southend on Sea.
We will hopefully have John back up here before the end of the year.
