Summer Presentation and Party
This year’s Dokan Summer Presentation and Party Night was held at a new venue. The Shack club at Boldon doesn’t sound too auspicious but it is a great venue with a huge dance floor and plenty of space for the kids to play.
We had around 160 people attend and we raised over £500 for the club funds. We played all the usual party games and party dances then handed out the various six monthly trophies and grading certificates so everyone received something.
All the feedback on the new venue and the evening was very positive and I can see the Christmas party being even more popular.
I will not mention all the awards but will note the grading trophy winners.
Lower Grades: 1st was Faye Mcquillan, 2nd was Katie Hunnam and joint third were Chloe Telford and Ruby Robertson.
Higher Grades: 1st was Eve Palmer, 2nd was Hannah Nicholson and joint third were Sadie Stoner and Ben Purvis.
A special mention goes to karate all-rounder Lola Cassody who won Supreme Best Grading and was also awarded the rank of Elite squad member.
