Wado UK E. Yorkshire Champs.

On October the 30th we entered the Wado UK East Yorkshire championship.

The Squad

We took a squad of 23 students on a fifty seater coach.

Another very high quality competition with top clubs from all over the country entered. In total there was 290 competitors with some difficult categories for Dokan such as the Open Grade 16 years and below team and pairs kata. Considering all of the Dokan teams are aged 9 to 11 years it is very difficult to pull a result against the 15 year old English Karate Federation National team members.

Despite this we still had a very successful day winning a total of two gold , seven silver and twenty bronze medals. Golds were won by Sadie Stoner age 9 (Individual kata) and Aidan Young age 11 (Individual kumite).

Dokan managed to win a total of two gold , seven silver and twenty bronze medals.
