Fight Night
Fifty two fighters, forty nine Dokan students, two British referees and a room full of people to watch twenty six bouts each lasting one minute and thirty seconds.
These were the ingredients that resulted in a fantastic night.
On the build up to this Fight Night there were a lot of competitors pulling out so the opponents had to be rewritten numerous times and I was afraid with so many youngsters in and everyone fighting their friends that the effort level would not be there.
I was wrong - everyone gave it 100% and every one of them wanted to win.
There was some great bouts throughout the night and some super skill shown, plus a few surprise victories along the way.
The night finished with the two minute adult bout between Marcus Turnbull and Dan Golden which was nip and tuck all the way to an exciting climax as Marcus took the victory 14 points to 12.
It was a great night all round and a good social event for our club. Hopefully we will have another before the end of the year.
