Dokan Karate Club

After 3 separate introductory refereeing sessions ran by Dokan Chief ref Brian Graham it was time to bring in England’s top refereeing official, Mr Dale Gamble who is The chief ref of Britain and a world recognised refereeing authority.

The training seminar was not only educational for our apprentice referees but also for the 24 Dokan squad students that turned up to perform kata and to fight in order to give the refs some practical flag waving practice.

The day was surprisingly tense for the students and the tension brought forth countless errors for me to think about. Dale gave students and new refs alike some tips and lots of invaluable advice. It was a very enjoyable session for all concerned and the 16 trainee refs that turned up all benefitted immensely.
