DOKAN SUMMER GRADING 9.7.2017

Dokan have 2 large gradings a year and one smaller spring grading. There is no rush to grade and as we run a quality outfit I prefer my students to be highly competent before they grade.

This summer we had a fantastic standard from our beginners and low grades. The best ever to be fair and the day flew by ahead of schedule for a change.

Notable sections were the white belts who although nervous and lacking confidence were totally ready to grade and I could see plenty of potential in there. Now to get them attending proper clubs and up their ambitions.

The red belts going for ninth kyu were fantastic and I already have competitions planned for some of these for this autumn. The yellow belts going for green belt is a large section of over 20 and the average age being 8 or 9 it is a youthful section and the core of Dokans future competition squad is set amongst it. There are four trophies going to yellow belts from this grading.

The rest of the grading is what I expect from high ranked Dokan students with them giving everything 100% to the point of their own total exhaustion.

THE WINNERS NAMES OF THE TEN GRADING TROPHIES WILL BE ADDED AFTER OUR SUMMER PRESENTATION NIGHT THIS SUNDAY. Up until then they are top secret..
